RECORD BOY
An american-based Filipino customer asked me to make this unique caricature concept for his friend in the U.S.. He wanted the artwork to depict a native Filipino lifestyle particularly the Bahay kubo as it's background setting, with all these bamboo, sawali, nipa cogon and wood materials to create a good Pinoy farm life ambiance. He also wanted to show how his friend's love of making musical records using different old medias like cassette tapes, compact discs etc. And to add a little fun, he requested to have him sport a bahag (a loincloth commonly used by indigenous tribes in the Philippines) maybe to show his Filipino roots.
